Where are my passwords stored?

Your vault is encrypted in local app storage. Kybele Apps does not operate a server that stores or synchronizes your vault. Backups you choose to export and Android backup or device-transfer services are separate from Vaultly's local storage.

What if I forget my master password?

The recovery key saved during setup can be used to set a new master password on the installation where its recovery information is still available. Kybele Apps cannot retrieve your master password or recovery key, or unlock your vault remotely. Resetting a vault deletes its local contents; it does not recover your passwords.

How do I move my vault to another phone?

Export an encrypted backup from Vaultly and keep it somewhere safe. Restore it on a fresh Vaultly installation using the master password that was active when you created that backup. Confirm that your records are accessible on the new phone before removing the old copy. Do not rely on Android's automatic backup alone.

For backups created with Vaultly 1.0.0, the original recovery-key information is not transferred. Keep the backup's master password: the original recovery key cannot replace it on a fresh installation.

Can I unlock Vaultly with biometrics?

You can enable biometric unlocking on a device with supported, enrolled biometrics. Android performs the check; Vaultly does not receive your fingerprint image or facial template. Keep your master password and recovery key safe—biometric unlocking is not a backup of your vault.

Is Vaultly free? Is there a subscription?

Vaultly is free to download and use for your first 20 entries. Unlimited records are available through an optional one-time purchase, with no subscription. Check the Google Play purchase screen for the price before buying.

Which languages does Vaultly support?

Vaultly supports English, Turkish, German, Swedish, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, Chinese and Japanese. You can choose a language in the app's settings.

How can I get help?

Email Kybele Apps with your app version, device model and a description of the issue. Keep screenshots free of private information. Never send your master password, recovery key, saved passwords or vault backup to support.
